Description
The Heat & Glo SlimLine X Direct Vent Gas Fireplace is a built in gas fireplace designed to deliver a full fireside experience in a shallow footprint. Available in 28", 32", 36", and 42" fireplace widths, the X models combine high-definition logs, LED illuminated embers, ceramic glass, a standard fan kit, touchscreen remote control, and IntelliFire Touch ignition. Natural gas input ranges from 11,500–21,000 BTU on the SL-3X up to 18,000–35,000 BTU on the SL-9X.
Direct Vent Technology pulls fresh combustion air from outdoors and sends 100% of combustion exhaust back outside. X models offer Stratford Brick, Tranquil Greige Brick, or fade-resistant Reflective Black Glass interior configurations, with multiple decorative front choices depending on model. Optional IntelliFire Wi-Fi/app control, wireless wall switch, power venting, and heat-management systems add control and installation flexibility.
What’s Included
- Fireplace appliance, five high-definition logs, LED illuminated ember bed, standard fan kit, touchscreen remote control, ceramic glass, and selected X-series interior panel configuration.
- Important: A decorative barrier front is required and must be ordered separately at the time of appliance purchase.
- For SL-5X, SL-7X, and SL-9X models, the manufacturer documents high-definition Oak or Birch log configurations; the SL-3X is listed with five high-definition logs.

- High-Definition Log Presentation – X models use five high-definition logs for a more detailed traditional fire appearance.
- LED Illuminated Ember Bed – X models incorporate LED illuminated embers to enhance the glow beneath the fire.
- Standard Fan Kit – A fan kit is standard equipment across the SlimLine X models.
- Standard Touchscreen Remote – X models include touchscreen remote control for convenient access to fireplace functions.
- Battery Backup – Backup battery capability allows fireplace operation during a power outage.
- Three Interior Panel Styles – X models are available with Stratford Brick, Tranquil Greige Brick, or fade-resistant Reflective Black Glass interiors.
- Optional Connected Controls – An IntelliFire Wi-Fi module provides optional app and voice-control capability.
- Optional Heat Management – Heat-Zone and Heat-Out systems can redirect heat to another area of the home or outside.
- Optional Power Venting – Power venting allows additional vent-routing flexibility where conventional vent configurations are difficult.
